This is a 7.4V, 3000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Bosch UNEO cordless multi-tool. It replaces OEM part number 100536 directly. Capacity is 3000mAh (22.2Wh), matching the original specification.
- UNEO platform fit: The UNEO uses a compact 7.4V two-cell Li-ion pack with a specific connector footprint and BMS handshake. This battery runs the same cell configuration and communication protocol, so the tool's onboard electronics recognise it without any adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack on the UNEO platform through repeated drill and drive loads, including high-torque fastening sequences. The BMS handled inrush current on trigger pull without nuisance trips, and cell voltages balanced correctly across full charge and discharge cycles.
- Break-in procedure for the UNEO: On first use, run the tool at half load for two cycles before applying maximum torque. This lets the BMS profile the motor's inrush current draw and set accurate overcurrent thresholds before you push the tool hard.
BMS cutoff on the UNEO during motor-start inrush
The UNEO motor pulls a short inrush spike at trigger pull — sometimes two to three times the running current draw. On a new or recently stored pack, the BMS overcurrent threshold may trip before the motor reaches running speed, cutting power instantly. This is not a faulty battery. The BMS resets automatically after a few seconds; release the trigger fully, wait, then restart. After two or three normal break-in cycles the BMS profiles the motor's inrush signature and the trips stop.
Charger not recognising the pack after storage
Li-ion cells that have sat discharged for several months can drop below the charger's acceptance voltage — typically around 2.5V per cell. When the pack reads below this threshold, the charger refuses to begin a full charge cycle and may flash an error LED instead. Place the battery on the charger and leave it connected for 10–15 minutes without interrupting. Most Bosch chargers apply a low-current recovery pulse to bring the cells back above the acceptance voltage — around 5.4V total for a 7.4V two-cell pack — before switching to normal charge.
