This is a 3.7V 700mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Cardo Packtalk Edge motorcycle Bluetooth communicator. It fits the Packtalk Edge directly, restoring power to the intercom, audio, and radio systems. Capacity matches the OEM spec at 700mAh (2.59Wh).

The dock needs to log the new cell before the onboard firmware can report an accurate charge state — skipping this step causes the headset to show a full indicator that drops quickly under load.
Why the Packtalk Edge cuts out mid-transmission on a fresh battery
The Packtalk Edge pulls its heaviest current when the DECT radio transmits and the DSP processes audio simultaneously. On a cell that hasn't completed its first conditioning cycle, internal resistance is still elevated — voltage sags under that combined draw and can trip the BMS protection circuit before the cell is genuinely depleted. The headset goes silent even though the charge indicator showed capacity remaining. Running three to five full charge and discharge cycles brings internal resistance down and closes the gap between indicated and usable charge.
Charging dock shows full but headset shuts off after a short ride
A new Li-Polymer cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.8V — not at full charge. The Packtalk Edge firmware reads that voltage as near-full and displays a misleading indicator before the first complete dock cycle runs. The fix is straightforward: place the headset in the dock, let it charge uninterrupted until the dock light confirms completion, then discharge fully on a test call before recharging. After that first full cycle, the charge reporting stabilises at the correct 4.2V fully charged reference.
