This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh (37.44Wh) Li-ion battery for the Carewell ECG-1103 portable electrocardiograph. It fits the ECG-1103, ECG-1103B, ECG-1103G, and ECG-1103L. The OEM part number is HX-18650-14.4-2000.
- ECG-1103 series compatibility: The ECG-1103, ECG-1103B, ECG-1103G, and ECG-1103L share the same 14.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One battery fits all four variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the ECG-1103 platform. The BMS completed voltage verification without faulting, and the device passed its power-on self-test on the first boot after installation.
- Post-swap startup protocol: After installing this battery, let the ECG-1103 complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification step at startup — cutting power mid-sequence registers as a battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.
ECG-1103 not completing boot sequence after battery swap
The ECG-1103 runs a multi-stage BMS verification during boot. A new cell that hasn't completed its first full charge-discharge cycle may present a resting voltage the device interprets as insufficient capacity. This causes the boot sequence to stall or loop. Charge the new battery to 100% before first installation, then allow the device to boot uninterrupted — don't press any keys during the self-test phase.
Charge indicator not reaching 100% on the first charge cycle
The ECG-1103's charge IC applies a conservative current limit on cells it hasn't profiled before. On a new battery, this can cause the indicator to stall at 95–99% for an extended period before completing. This is a charge IC behaviour, not a cell fault. Let the first charge run to termination without removing the battery — the charge IC will establish baseline capacity and behave normally from the second cycle onward.
