Casio DT-5300 / IT-600 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CA60L1-G)
This 3.7V, 1850mAh Li-ion cell is a direct replacement for Casio handheld barcode scanners including the DT-5300, IT-300, IT-600, and IT-800. It fits the original battery bay and connects to the same BMS interface the dock charger expects. Capacity figures come from product data, not extrapolated estimates.
- DT-5300 / IT-series shared battery platform: These models run the same 3.7V rail and share connector pinout, BMS handshake protocol, and physical housing dimensions — which is why one cell covers the full range. Swapping between compatible units in a mixed fleet works without reconfiguring the dock.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through scan-trigger inrush events and back-to-back wireless polling bursts. The BMS held cutoff thresholds within spec and did not trip on load spikes typical of rapid pick-and-pack workflows.
- First-shift charging tip for the DT-5300: After installing, seat the scanner in its cradle and run a full charge cycle before the first shift. Scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum voltage — a pre-charged pack prevents a false BMS trip during the first burst of the day.

Dock chargers on the IT-600 and DT-5300 cradles read the battery contacts for a handshake before initiating charge. Oxidation or debris on the gold contacts — either on the pack or the cradle — raises resistance enough to trigger a fault code. Remove the pack, wipe both sets of contacts with a dry lint-free cloth, and reseat firmly. If the error clears, the contact surface was the cause, not the cell itself.

The IT-600 and IT-800 draw simultaneously from the radio module and the scan engine during a rapid burst — the combined inrush can sag cell voltage enough that the radio drops its 2.4 GHz link before the BMS trips. This happens most often when a replacement pack hasn't completed its first full charge. Seat the scanner in the cradle, charge to 4.2V, then run your first wireless session — voltage sag narrows sharply after the first full cycle.
