IT10 cradles use spring-loaded dock contacts to detect and charge the battery. If contact resistance is too high — from oxidation, debris, or a slightly misseated pack — the cradle reports a charging fault rather than starting the charge cycle. Wipe the gold contacts on the battery and the cradle with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the scanner firmly until it clicks. If the error clears, the issue was contact resistance, not the battery or cradle electronics.
Scanner loses wireless connection during rapid scan bursts
During a fast scan sequence, the IT10 draws power simultaneously from the imager and the wireless radio. On a degraded or deeply discharged cell, this combined inrush pulls terminal voltage below the BMS threshold, triggering a brief power interrupt that drops the wireless link. The scanner may reconnect automatically, but the session data collected during the burst can be lost. Charge the pack fully before the shift and check that the battery contacts are clean — a resistive connection amplifies the voltage sag under load.
