On the first charge cycle, the Vitalogik 4500's charge IC applies a conservative current limit to new lithium-ion cells while it profiles internal resistance. The display may hold at 95–99% for an extended period before the final trickle phase completes. This is normal behaviour and not a sign of a defective cell. Let the charge cycle finish uninterrupted — the indicator will reach 100% and the charge IC will log the full-capacity baseline for future cycles.
