This 7.4V 1200mAh Li-ion battery is a direct replacement for the Chord MOJO portable DAC/amplifier. It fits the MOJO's internal battery bay and matches the original cell's voltage rail and connector format. Capacity figures are taken from our product data — 1200mAh (8.88Wh).

  • MOJO platform fit: The MOJO runs a 2S1P Li-ion configuration at 7.4V nominal, which the ICP6/34/50-2S1P matches exactly. The internal BMS handshake expects that cell arrangement — a mismatched voltage or pack layout will trigger an immediate protection cutoff at power-on.

The MOJO's amplifier stage requires a higher minimum operating voltage than the point where the battery indicator visually empties. A degraded original cell will sag faster and harder under current draw, making early shutdowns more frequent. Replacing the cell restores the voltage floor and aligns actual cutoff with what the indicator shows.

MOJO clipping or distorting at moderate volume on a new battery

A freshly installed cell that hasn't been conditioned can show transient voltage sag during dynamic audio peaks, even at moderate volume. That momentary sag causes the amplifier output stage to clip before the signal naturally would. This isn't a fault in the battery — it's an uncalibrated cell under sudden current demand.
