Climet CI-150 / CI-453 / CI-454 — 9.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (31065135)
This is a 9.6V, 7600mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Climet CI-150, CI-453, and CI-454 portable particle counters. These instruments are used for airborne particle monitoring in cleanrooms, pharmaceutical facilities, and other controlled environments. The battery sustains field sampling operations where mains power is unavailable.
- CI-150, CI-453, CI-454 platform fit: All three models run the same 9.6V battery rail with a shared connector and BMS handshake profile. The pack communicates charge state back to the instrument's onboard display, so the fuel gauge reads correctly after installation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a CI-150 unit and confirmed BMS cutoff engaged correctly at low-voltage threshold. The instrument registered the new pack without error codes on the status screen.
- Data preservation before battery swap: The CI-150 holds logged sample data in RAM that is kept alive by the battery. Remove power before downloading and that data is gone. Always export your session logs to the host software or USB before pulling the old pack.

The CI-150's onboard fuel gauge calibrates against the charge history stored in the BMS. A brand-new pack has no history, so the display may show a mismatched or erratic percentage on the first cycle. Run the battery down to the low-voltage cutoff — around 9.0V under load — then charge it fully without interruption. After one complete cycle, the gauge recalibrates and reads accurately against the new pack's actual capacity.
Sensor readings drifting after battery swap on the CI-150
When the CI-150 loses power during a battery swap, the internal calibration reference can reset to factory defaults. This causes particle counts to read high or low against a known reference standard. Before resuming a monitoring program, run a zero-count check with an ISO reference particle source. Recalibrate per the CI-150 service manual, Section 4, before logging any new sample data.
