Heating element cutting out mid-use on maximum setting
The 1100BATT BMS includes an over-current protection threshold that activates when sustained current draw exceeds its limit. On maximum heat, the resistive heating elements pull roughly 3–4x more current than on low. If the cell voltage dips under load — especially in temperatures below 5°C — the BMS reads this as an unsafe condition and cuts output. The glove controller then goes dark until the pack is reset. This is a protection event, not a battery fault.
Battery not reaching full voltage after charge on a degraded cycle count
Li-Polymer cells lose charge acceptance gradually with each cycle. A pack that charges to only 8.0V instead of the nominal 8.4V full-charge ceiling has measurable capacity loss — the glove may never reach maximum heat level because the controller throttles the highest setting below a minimum voltage threshold. Check the pack voltage with a multimeter at the connector immediately after the charger light turns green. If it reads below 8.2V, the cell is degraded. Replace the pack and confirm the new battery reads 8.3–8.4V at full charge before first use.
