This is a 10.8V, 3300mAh (35.64Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the COMEN V1 Portable Ventilator. It replaces OEM part numbers CMLI2X3N003B, CMLI1X3N004B, CML12X3N003B, CML11X3N004B, and CMLI2X3I003B. The V1 is a portable mechanical ventilator used for respiratory support in transport, home care, and clinical settings.
- V1 Ventilator battery platform: All listed OEM part numbers share the same 10.8V three-cell series configuration, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol used by the V1's charge management circuit. Swapping between these part numbers does not require firmware changes or hardware modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through the V1's startup self-test sequence and monitored the BMS handshake under simulated ventilation load. The protection circuit responded correctly to charge termination and low-voltage cutoff thresholds consistent with the OEM specification.
- Post-installation self-test protocol: After fitting this battery, allow the V1 to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification cycle at startup — cutting power during this sequence stores a false battery fault in the device log that will persist until the next complete reboot.
Why the COMEN V1 draws harder on a new cell than on an aged OEM battery
A new Li-ion cell has not yet stabilised its internal resistance profile. In the first several charge-discharge cycles, the V1's motor-driven blower and pressure regulation circuitry can pull instantaneous current spikes the BMS interprets as overload on an unconditioned cell. This can trigger a brief protective cutoff that clears on its own but looks like a fault during clinical checks. Running one complete charge-discharge cycle before putting the battery into clinical rotation allows the BMS to calibrate its thresholds against the actual cell behaviour.
Charge indicator stops before 100% on first charge
On first charge, the V1's charge IC applies a conservative current limit while it profiles the new cell's capacity curve. This is normal behaviour — the indicator stalls typically in the 90–95% range and then advances slowly. It is not a faulty battery or charger. Run the first charge to completion without interrupting it, then discharge normally through device use before the second charge; the indicator will read accurately from that point forward.
