This is a 25.9V 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Concept VP4170 cordless stick vacuum range. It fits the VP4170, VP4170 Real Force, VP4160, VP4165, and three additional models sharing the same battery platform. Replace it when the original pack no longer holds charge or cuts out before the low-battery indicator activates.

- Dock charging habit for the VP4170: Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently. Cordless vacuums held on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than those charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove the pack from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the VP4170
The VP4170 motor draws above its rated current when suction is restricted — most often by a blocked filter or a partial blockage in the brush head. The BMS detects the voltage sag from this sustained overcurrent and throttles power before the indicator registers low battery. This mimics a failing battery when the actual cause is motor load. Check and clean the filter first. If suction restores, the battery is not the problem. If the filter is clear and voltage still sags under load, the cell has aged below its functional discharge threshold — around 22V under load on a 25.9V pack.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. When the brush head is pressed hard into thick carpet or encounters a blockage, current draw spikes. The BMS shuts the output to protect the cells, then resets once the load clears and temperature drops. The fix is to clear any blockage and reduce sustained pressure on thick pile. If trips continue with no blockage present, check cell voltage immediately after a trip — a recovered pack should read above 24V. Consistent trips with voltage above 24V point to a restricted airpath rather than a weak cell.
