Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Coolpad 7232 after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a different discharge curve, so the percentage reading drifts early and the phone hits the hardware low-voltage cutoff before the display reaches 0%. It is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration mismatch. Run two full discharge-to-charge cycles without interruption and the fuel gauge IC will recalibrate against the new curve.
Phone shows wrong battery percentage after fitting the CPLD-119
The coulomb counter inside the Coolpad 7232 tracks charge based on historical cell data. A new cell resets that history, so the reported percentage can jump or read inaccurately for the first few cycles. This is not a defective reading — the IC simply needs new reference points. Drain the battery fully until the phone shuts off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% twice. After two full cycles the percentage display stabilises.
