This 7.4V 5000mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the internal cell in the Creator ST-7600C and ST-7600 wireless touchscreen alarm control panels. These panels use the touchscreen interface to arm, disarm, and monitor home or commercial security systems. OEM part number PT508080 matches the original connector, cell dimensions (111.50 × 82.20 × 8.10mm), and BMS handshake protocol.
- ST-7600C and ST-7600 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, 7.4V power rail, and PT508080 connector pinout. The BMS on each panel negotiates charge termination at the same voltage threshold, so one cell fits both without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the ST-7600C charge controller and confirmed the BMS accepted full charge termination at 8.4V with no fault flags. Cell swelling was within spec at 8.10mm after five charge cycles.
- Float charge conditioning after installation: Do not run a zone diagnostic immediately after fitting this cell. Allow 24–48 hours on the panel's float charge circuit before triggering any alarm test, otherwise the panel may report a low battery fault during the test even with a fully functional new cell.
Why the ST-7600C still shows low battery 12 hours after replacing the cell
The ST-7600C uses a BMS that does not immediately accept a new cell as fully charged, even if the cell arrived at a storage voltage of 3.7V per cell. The panel's charge supervisor runs an internal validation cycle that takes 24–48 hours on float charge before it clears the low battery flag. Forcing a test before that window closes will re-trigger the alert. Leave the panel on mains power with no zone interruptions for at least 48 hours, then check panel status — the low battery warning should clear on its own.
Panel loses all programming during a mains power outage after new battery fitted
A freshly installed cell that has not completed its conditioning cycle cannot hold enough charge to sustain the panel's RAM and real-time clock through an extended outage. The panel requires the backup battery to be at or above 7.8V to maintain programming during mains loss. If the cell has not yet reached that threshold, even a brief outage can cause a full memory reset. Keep the panel on mains for 48 hours post-installation before relying on backup power — check the panel's battery voltage readout to confirm it exceeds 7.8V.
