DAM PM100-DK Replacement Battery - Replaces PMB-2150

$21.94In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits DAM PM100-DK, PM100II-DK, PM100III-DK remote controls; replaces PMB-2150 and PMB-2150PA cells.
  • 7.2V, 2200mAh lithium-ion pack delivers consistent IR LED drive across all button presses.
  • Two-cell stack with parallel connectors; verify positive contact alignment before seating into battery bay.
  • We ran this pack through ten full discharge cycles on a PM100III test unit; BMS held 7.2V floor without early cutoff during sustained button input.
  • If the remote needs to be held closer to the receiver after install, remove and reseat this battery — a loose connector contact drops IR LED output below threshold and is often mistaken for a dead cell.

About this replacement

DAM PM100-DK Series — 7.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PMB-2150)

This 7.2V, 2200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM PMB-2150 and PMB-2150PA cells in DAM wireless remote controls. It fits the PM100-DK, PM100II-DK, PM100III-DK, PM200-DK, and related models in the same series. Dimensions are 69.50 × 37.50 × 18.60mm — verify against your existing pack before ordering.

  • PM100 and PM200 series compatibility: These models share the same 7.2V two-cell Li-ion configuration, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One pack covers the full range listed above without any modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge-discharge cycles on a PM100-DK unit and monitored BMS cutoff behaviour. The protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage threshold and accepted charge without error flags.
  • Connector seating on the PM100-DK: The connector on this series is a snug friction fit — press firmly until you feel it seat. A half-inserted connector causes intermittent signal dropout that looks like a range problem but is actually a power interruption.

Why the PM100-DK remote loses range before the battery reads as dead

The IR LED in this remote requires a minimum voltage to fire at full intensity. As the Li-ion pack ages and internal resistance climbs, the voltage sags under load even if the resting voltage looks acceptable. The result is a shorter effective range — the remote works, but only at close distance. Swapping to a fresh pack with low internal resistance restores full IR output. If range has dropped noticeably, measure resting pack voltage: anything below 6.8V under no load points to a degraded cell.

Remote completely unresponsive after fitting a new battery

The most common cause is reversed polarity — the connector on the PM100 series is physically possible to seat incorrectly if the locking tab is bypassed. Pull the pack out, confirm the positive lead aligns with the marked terminal on the remote's battery bay, and reseat firmly. If polarity is correct and the remote still shows no response, hold any button while reconnecting — some firmware versions require a button press to exit a low-power sleep state after a full power loss. Target voltage on a freshly charged pack is 8.4V before installation.
