Datalogic ELF — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (94ACC0112)
This is a 3.7V, 2750mAh Li-ion battery for the Datalogic ELF handheld barcode scanner. It replaces OEM part numbers 94ACC0112, BT-34, and BT-9. The ELF is a compact mobile computer used in retail, warehouse, and logistics environments for barcode capture and data collection.
- ELF platform fit: The ELF uses a fixed 3.7V cell format with a specific connector and BMS handshake. This pack matches that voltage rail and communication protocol — the host device recognises the battery and reports charge state normally.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the ELF platform. The BMS responded correctly to both scan-trigger inrush and wireless polling draw, with no false cutoff events during combined load testing.
- First-shift prep for pick-and-pack use: After installing, seat the scanner in its cradle and run a full charge cycle before the first shift. Scan-trigger inrush current peaks when the cell is near minimum — a fully charged pack prevents false BMS trips during the initial hours of heavy scanning.

A charging error on a new pack is almost always a contact issue, not a battery fault. The ELF cradle uses pogo-pin contacts that pick up oxidation and debris from daily dock-and-undock cycles. Even a thin film on the pack's gold contacts raises resistance enough to trigger a fault. Remove the pack, wipe both the battery contacts and the cradle pins with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat firmly.

During a fast scan burst, the ELF draws simultaneously from the imager, the processor, and the wireless radio. On a depleted or degraded cell, that combined inrush pulls voltage below the radio module's minimum operating threshold — the radio drops connection before the BMS trips. The fix is not a reset; charge the battery above 3.6V before starting a high-frequency scan session. If the problem persists on a fully charged pack, the cell has capacity-faded and needs replacement.
