This is a 3.7V Li-ion battery rated at 6800mAh (25.16Wh), built to replace the original pack in the Datalogic ELF handheld scanner. The ELF is a mobile data collection device used in retail, warehouse, and logistics environments for barcode scanning and inventory management. It replaces OEM part numbers BT-10, 94ACC1376, and 94ACC1377.
- ELF platform fit: The ELF uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with a proprietary BMS handshake that communicates charge state to the device OS. This replacement carries the same connector and BMS communication profile, so the scanner reports battery percentage correctly without error flags.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on ELF-class hardware. The BMS held stable charge termination at 4.2V and engaged low-voltage cutoff cleanly before cell depletion — no false shutdowns during scan-burst sequences.
- First-shift preparation: After installing, seat the scanner in its cradle and run a full charge cycle before deploying on a pick-and-pack shift. Scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum — a pre-charged pack prevents false BMS trips during the first heavy scanning session.
Cradle charging error on a new ELF battery pack
Dock contacts on the ELF cradle accumulate oxidation and debris, especially in warehouse environments. When contact resistance rises too high, the cradle's charge controller sees an unexpected voltage drop and throws a charging error — even with a new pack. This is not a fault in the battery. Wipe the gold contacts on both the battery and the cradle base with a dry cloth, reseat the scanner firmly, and the charge indicator should clear within 30 seconds.
ELF losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts
The ELF draws simultaneously from the radio module and the imager during high-frequency scanning. If the cell voltage sags under the combined inrush, the radio drops its connection before the scanner itself shuts down — users see a disconnected network icon mid-shift with the device still powered. This happens most often when the battery is below 20% charge. Keep the pack above that threshold during peak-demand shifts to keep the radio link stable.
