This 3.7V 6800mAh Li-ion battery replaces OEM part numbers BT-0016, BT-0015, 94ACC0046, and 94ACC0048 in the Datalogic Skorpio X3 and Skorpio X4 handheld terminals. Both models run on the same 3.7V cell platform with a shared connector and BMS handshake, so one pack covers both. At 25.16Wh, this sits at the same energy capacity as the original Datalogic cells.
- Skorpio X3 and X4 shared platform: Both terminals use the same 3.7V battery bay, identical 4-pin connector, and the same BMS communication protocol — voltage rail and charge profile are identical across the two models, so no firmware difference affects pack recognition.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the Skorpio X3 and confirmed the BMS handshake initialised cleanly on dock insertion. Charge acceptance tracked within normal parameters and the protection circuit held cutoff at the expected low-voltage threshold without tripping under scan-burst load.
- First-shift prep for pick-and-pack environments: After installing, seat the scanner in its charging cradle for a full cycle before the first shift. Scan trigger inrush current peaks when the cell is near minimum — a pre-charged pack prevents a false BMS trip the first time an operator hammers the trigger on a fast conveyor line.

Skorpio charging cradles communicate with the pack over the contact pins — if any pin has oxidation or debris, the dock reads an abnormal resistance and flags a charge fault. This is not a pack failure; it is a contact issue. Wipe the gold contacts on both the battery and the cradle slot with a dry cloth, then reseat the terminal firmly until it clicks. If the error clears, the circuit is intact and charging will proceed normally.

The Skorpio X3 draws from the battery simultaneously for the imager, the scan trigger circuit, and the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth radio. During rapid scanning, the combined inrush of the trigger and an active radio transmission can cause a momentary voltage sag below the radio module's minimum operating threshold. The radio drops its association to recover, and operators see the connection icon disappear mid-session. Ensuring the pack is above 3.5V before a high-intensity scan session reduces the frequency of these sags.
