Deerma DEM-T30 — 21.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DEM-T30)
This is a 21.6V 2500mAh (54Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Deerma DEM-T30 cordless stick vacuum. It replaces the original battery pack when capacity has dropped or the cell no longer holds a charge. Voltage and connector match the DEM-T30 platform directly.
- DEM-T30 platform fit: The DEM-T30 operates on a 21.6V nominal rail with a specific BMS handshake. This cell matches that voltage rail and connector pinout, so the vacuum's power management system recognises the pack and allows normal operation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the DEM-T30 motor load. The BMS responded correctly to high-draw states — no false overcurrent trips during normal suction cycles.
- Dock charging habit on the DEM-T30: Do not leave the DEM-T30 sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock charge pushes trickle current into a full cell, accelerating capacity fade. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The DEM-T30 motor draws more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling the cell voltage down faster than the indicator expects. The battery indicator is calibrated against a clean-running motor load, not a restricted one. Under restriction the cell hits the BMS low-voltage cutoff earlier, so suction degrades while the indicator still reads mid-range. Clean or replace the filter first before assuming the battery is at fault.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage or a heavily loaded carpet, current draw spikes above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts off as a protection measure. After a brief pause the BMS resets and power returns. Clear any blockage in the nozzle or hose, then check that the filter is not clogged — restricted airflow is the most common trigger. If trips continue on a clear machine, check that cell voltage under load stays above 18V with a multimeter at the pack terminals.
