Charging errors on a new pack in the 14951w cradle are almost always a contact issue, not a battery fault. The dock uses spring-loaded pins, and any oxidation or debris on the pack's contact pads raises resistance enough for the charger circuit to flag an error. Wipe the gold contacts on the battery and the cradle pins with a dry cloth, then reseat the scanner firmly until it clicks. If the error clears within 30 seconds of reseating, the cell is charging normally.

The 14951w draws on the battery simultaneously for the imager and the wireless radio — both spike during a rapid scan sequence. If the cell voltage sags under that combined load, the radio drops its connection before the BMS cuts the pack entirely. This happens most often when the battery is below 30% charge. Keep the pack above that threshold during high-volume shifts, and check cell voltage at the scanner's diagnostic screen — a reading below 3.5V under load signals the pack needs to be swapped or recharged before continuing.
