Dell Alienware X14 R1 / R2 — 11.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (V4N84 / VG661)
This is an 11.4V, 7050mAh (80.37Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Dell Alienware X14 R1 and X14 R2 gaming laptops. It replaces OEM part numbers V4N84 and VG661. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge through a full gaming or productivity session.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after replacement
Dell's embedded controller reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM and compares it against the new cell's initial readings. The mismatch triggers a poor health flag — this is an EC calibration issue, not a fault with the replacement cell. Run the battery down to hibernate cutoff under normal load, then charge to 100% without interruption. After one or two full cycles, the EC rewrites its reference data and the health warning clears.

Under full CPU and GPU load, the X14 draws sustained current that the fuel gauge IC cannot accurately predict from a freshly installed cell. The cell hits a voltage cliff before the displayed percentage reaches zero, and the EC cuts power to protect the system. The fuel gauge IC needs two to three calibration cycles against the new cell's actual discharge curve before the percentage readout becomes accurate. Force a full discharge to hibernate on battery power each time until the shutdowns stop occurring above 15%.
