The Dell BIOS reads battery health from EEPROM data written by the original cell — not from live voltage measurements. Run the battery learn cycle: discharge fully to hibernate, charge to 100% without interruption, then open Dell's battery diagnostics or Chrome OS battery health page — the status clears after one complete learn cycle.
