It connects to the same 2-cell pack configuration and communicates with the Dell EC via the same SMBus lines as the OEM unit. OEM part numbers 1WWHW and 0PD19 both cross-reference to this pack.

One full calibration cycle — full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then uninterrupted charge to 100% — writes new reference data and clears the warning within two to three cycles.

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped the new cell's voltage curve. The displayed percentage tracks the old cell's discharge profile, so the system hits the hardware low-voltage cutoff while the OS still shows charge remaining. Run two full calibration cycles — discharge fully to hibernate, charge to 100% without interruption — and the gauge IC recalibrates its endpoint to the new cell's actual 3.0V per cell floor.
