This is a 7.6V, 4000mAh (30.4Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series. It fits the Inspiron 11 3162, 3153, 3148, and over 40 additional models in the 3000 line. The battery restores portable operation when the original cell can no longer hold a usable charge.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after replacement
Dell's BIOS reads health data from EEPROM stored in the old battery's BMS — not from the new cell's actual charge state. When the old cell is removed, that EEPROM data is gone. The BIOS then flags the new battery as unknown or degraded because it has no historical data to reference. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate and one uninterrupted charge-to-100% to let the BIOS write a fresh baseline to the new cell's EEPROM.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The IC is still using discharge tables from the degraded original battery, so it miscalculates the remaining capacity and triggers shutdown well before the cell is actually depleted. The fix is two to three complete discharge and charge cycles — each one gives the IC more accurate data points. After the third cycle, the reported percentage and actual cutoff voltage should align within a few percent.
