This is an 11.25V, 3500mAh (39.38Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Dell Vostro 3511 and several Inspiron models. It replaces OEM part number G91J0. Fit models include the Vostro 3515, Inspiron 5418, and Inspiron 5515, among others.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after replacement
Dell's BIOS reads battery health from EEPROM data stored in the pack, not from live cell measurements. A new cell ships with factory EEPROM values that don't match the discharge history the BIOS expects to see, so it flags the battery as degraded. This is a calibration gap, not a fault. Run the learn cycle — one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then a full uninterrupted charge — and the BIOS recalculates health against the actual cell. After one complete cycle, the health indicator should clear.
Laptop shuts down suddenly while battery percentage still shows 20–30%
This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't calibrated to the new cell's actual voltage-capacity curve. The displayed percentage is based on stale data, so the reading is optimistic right up to the voltage cliff. Under combined CPU and display load, cell voltage drops faster than the gauge predicts, and the system shuts down to protect the hardware before the screen shows zero. Complete two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles to let the fuel gauge IC map the new cell accurately. After calibration, the shutdown threshold should align with the displayed percentage within a few percent.
