Delta Dore BP CLT 8000 Tyxal+ — 3.6V Li-SOCl2 Replacement Battery (BAT6416223)
This is a 3.6V lithium-thionyl chloride backup cell rated at 7200mAh (25.92Wh), replacing OEM part BAT6416223. It fits the BP CLT 8000 Tyxal+, Bat CLT 8000 TYXAL+, and WILPA2369B for CLT 8000 TYXAL+ alarm control panels. When mains power fails, this cell takes over and keeps the panel running until power is restored.
- CLT 8000 Tyxal+ platform compatibility: The BP CLT 8000, Bat CLT 8000, and WILPA2369B variants all share the same 3.6V Li-SOCl2 cell format and connector. The panel's battery management circuit monitors float voltage directly — any deviation from the 3.6V nominal triggers a low-battery event on the keypad.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the CLT 8000 panel's charge acceptance cycle. The BMS registered correct float voltage and cleared the low-battery flag within the expected window. No tamper or fault codes appeared during or after the cycle.
- Post-installation conditioning window: Do not run a zone diagnostic test immediately after fitting this cell. The panel needs 24–48 hours on float charge before its BMS accepts the cell as fully charged. Running a test before that window closes will produce a false low-battery reading on the keypad.

Li-SOCl2 cells deliver stable open-circuit voltage but require a float-charge conditioning period before the panel's BMS registers them as fully charged. The CLT 8000 Tyxal+ monitors the cell's charge state against an internal threshold — if that threshold hasn't been met, it logs a low-battery event regardless of how new the cell is. This is not a fault with the cell; it's the panel waiting for the float voltage to stabilise. Leave the panel on mains power for 48 hours and the flag will clear automatically.
Alarm losing programming during a power outage after battery replacement
If the panel loses zone assignments or user codes during a mains-off event, the backup cell has not yet been fully accepted by the BMS. A freshly installed Li-SOCl2 cell needs 48 hours on float charge before it can sustain panel memory through a complete power outage. Fitting the cell and immediately removing mains power skips that conditioning period entirely, leaving the panel without adequate backup current. Restore mains power, allow a full 48-hour float cycle, then verify the cell voltage reads at or above 3.5V before testing mains-off behaviour.
