Denso BHT-6000 Replacement Battery - Replaces DS-60M

$20.09In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Denso BHT-6000, BHT-8000, and B-60N handheld terminals; replaces OEM part DS-60M.
  • Delivers 2.4V at 700mAh — sufficient capacity for a full warehouse shift with standard scan frequency and wireless polling in retail and logistics environments.
  • Connector slides straight into the battery slot with positive contact alignment; locking tab seats flush against the scanner body.
  • We bench-tested the cell across rapid scan bursts and radio transmission cycles; BMS accepted the charge without fault codes on first dock cycle.
  • After installing, place the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before using in pick-and-pack — the scan trigger inrush current is highest when the cell is near minimum and a pre-charged cell prevents false BMS trips on the first shift.

About this replacement

Denso BHT-6000 / BHT-8000 Series — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (DS-60M)

This is a 2.4V, 700mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Denso BHT-6000, BHT-8000, and B-60N handheld terminals. These devices are used in retail, warehousing, and logistics for barcode scanning and inventory data collection. The DS-60M part number matches the OEM pack specification for all three models in this family.

  • BHT-6000, BHT-8000, and B-60N compatibility: All three terminals share the same 2.4V two-cell Ni-MH architecture, the same physical pack dimensions, and the same connector footprint — one battery fits all without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the BHT-6000 charge circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without fault codes. Charge termination triggered correctly at full capacity with no thermal event.
  • First-shift cradle protocol: After installing, seat the scanner in its cradle for a complete charge cycle before starting pick-and-pack work. The scan trigger draws its highest inrush current when the cell is near minimum — a fully charged pack prevents false BMS trips at the start of the first shift.

Cradle showing a charging error on a new DS-60M pack

Ni-MH packs shipped in storage state sit at a low resting voltage that some BHT cradles flag as a fault before charging begins. The dock reads pack voltage on contact and, if it falls below the cradle's threshold, returns an error rather than initiating a trickle pre-charge. Remove the pack, wipe the gold contacts on both the battery and the cradle bay with a dry cloth, reseat firmly, and the cradle should begin the pre-charge phase within 30 seconds.

Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

On the BHT-6000 and BHT-8000, the radio transmitter and scan trigger fire simultaneously during fast barcode sweeps. The combined inrush pulls more current than either load alone. A cell with reduced capacity cannot sustain that combined draw without a brief voltage sag — and when voltage dips below the radio module's operating floor, the wireless link drops. If the connection loss happens mid-shift rather than at end of shift, check pack voltage under load; a healthy DS-60M at 2.4V nominal should not sag below 2.0V during a scan burst.
