This is a 3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Digital Ally DVM-RMT wireless remote and DVM 500 system. It fits the remote control unit used to trigger recording on Digital Ally body and dash camera setups. OEM part numbers CS2/3F6 3S1P and 135-0035 both cross-reference to this cell.

Why the DVM-RMT remote stops responding before the battery reads empty

Ni-MH cells have a relatively flat discharge curve, which means the remote's voltage-threshold indicator can read mid-charge right up until the cell drops below the radio transmission floor. The remote's RF transmitter draws a short high-current burst each time you press a button — at end of cell life, that burst pulls the voltage below the minimum the transmitter needs, and the signal never reaches the camera. The cell is not truly dead, but it cannot sustain the transmission pulse. Replace or recharge the cell when button presses become intermittent, even if the indicator still shows charge remaining.

Remote charges but camera body stops acknowledging button presses after storage

Ni-MH cells self-discharge at roughly 1–3% per day at room temperature. A remote left unused for several weeks can drop to a state low enough that the first few charge cycles do not fully recover capacity. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a known Ni-MH behaviour after deep self-discharge. Charge the battery fully, then run it down through normal remote use before charging again. After two to three full cycles, the cell reaches its rated 600mAh and button response to the camera system returns to normal.
