Why this battery

  • Fits Dirt Devil BD30100, BD30110V, and Grab & Go 8V handheld vacuums, replacing OEM part 13049009.
  • 7.4V and 2600mAh delivers consistent motor voltage across full cleaning runs without mid-cycle sag.
  • Connector slides straight into the battery slot with positive terminal forward and locking tab engaging flush.
  • We bench-tested this cell in a BD30100 frame—BMS accepted the pack on first dock contact with no fault delay.
  • Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock continuously; trickle charge degrades capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

About this replacement

Dirt Devil BD30100 / Grab & Go 8V Cordless Handheld Vacuum — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (13049009)

This 7.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces OEM part 13049009 in the Dirt Devil BD30100, BD30100V, BD30110V, and Grab & Go 8V Cordless Handheld Vacuum. It slots into the same battery compartment and connects to the same BMS interface as the original. Capacity is rated at 19.24Wh — unchanged from factory spec.

  • BD30100 / BD30110V platform fit: These models share the same 7.4V nominal voltage rail, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — that is why one cell covers the entire lineup. Swapping between variants in this series requires no wiring or adapter.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the BD30100 charging cycle and monitored BMS behaviour at cutoff. The protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage threshold and accepted a full charge without thermal flags or communication errors.
  • Dock charging habit on the Grab & Go series: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock indefinitely. The Grab & Go platform does not terminate dock power after reaching full charge, so the cell stays in a trickle-charge state. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the BD30100

The BD30100 motor draws significantly more current when airflow is restricted — a partially clogged filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling amps above its rated draw. The BMS reads this sustained overcurrent as a voltage sag event and throttles output to protect the cell. The suction loss happens at the motor level, not because the battery is depleted. Clear the filter and check the inlet before assuming the battery is at fault.

Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the motor encounters a blockage or sustained restriction, current draw spikes, and the protection circuit opens to prevent cell damage. The BMS resets automatically once current drops — usually within a few seconds — which is why the vacuum restarts on its own. Check the filter and inlet for blockages first. If the cutout continues on a clear filter, verify the replacement cell is seated fully and the contacts are clean.
