This is a 21.6V 3700mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Dreame M12, M12 Pro, and M13 cordless stick vacuums. It fits directly into the battery bay of each model and uses the same OEM part number W2206 as the factory cell. Suction dropping on carpet before the battery indicator reaches low
On carpet, the M12 motor draws significantly more current than on hard floors. If the filter is partially blocked, airflow restriction forces the motor to sustain a higher draw than the BMS current threshold allows. The BMS responds by reducing output voltage to the motor, which the user experiences as suction loss — even though the indicator still shows charge remaining. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest. If suction restores on hard floor but still drops on carpet, the issue is sustained overcurrent draw, not cell capacity.
Motor cuts out briefly then recovers during a cleaning run
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty battery. It happens when the motor pulls above the pack's rated discharge current — most often caused by a blocked filter or a partial clog in the suction path. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets after a short pause. Clear the blockage and confirm the filter is clean before assuming the replacement cell is at fault. A fully clean airpath should eliminate the trip entirely.
