This is a 29.6V, 4000mAh Li-ion battery for the Dreame Mova T20 cordless stick vacuum. It slots directly into the T20 power bay and restores the motor's full operating voltage. Capacity is 4000mAh (118.4Wh), matching the original cell specification.
- Mova T20 voltage rail: The T20 motor controller is tuned to a 29.6V nominal supply. A cell pack that drifts below this nominal causes the controller to reduce suction power before the low-battery LED even triggers. This replacement holds the rail steady across the charge curve.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the T20 platform. The BMS handled overcurrent trips during simulated blockage events and recovered cleanly without requiring a reset.
- Dock charging habit on the T20: Do not leave the T20 sitting on the dock continuously between uses. Cordless vacuums held on permanent trickle charge lose cell capacity significantly faster than those charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the T20
The T20 motor controller reads pack voltage in real time, not just state of charge percentage. When an aged or degraded cell pack sags under motor load, the controller throttles output early — well before the indicator LED suggests the battery is low. This is voltage sag under draw, not a display fault. A new cell pack at full charge holds closer to 33.6V at the terminals, giving the controller enough headroom to run the motor at rated power throughout most of the discharge cycle. If suction still feels weak after fitting a new pack, check the filter first — a blocked filter forces the motor to work harder and can trigger the same throttle response.
Motor cutting out mid-clean then recovering after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. When airflow is restricted — by a clogged filter, a partial blockage in the pipe, or a jammed brush roll — the motor draws more current than the BMS allows and the pack shuts off temporarily to protect the cells. The BMS resets after a short pause, which is why the vacuum restarts on its own. Cleaning or replacing the filter resolves the root cause in most cases. If the cutout persists after clearing all blockages, measure pack voltage immediately after a trip — a reading below 25V under no-load indicates cell degradation, not a filter issue.
