About this replacement
Dreame Mova S10 Plus — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P2150-4S2P-FMTEV)
This is a 14.4V 5200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Dreame Mova S10 Plus and RLS42SD robot vacuums. It slots into the same bay as the original P2150-4S2P-FMTEV pack and powers the drive motors, suction fan, and onboard navigation. Capacity is 74.88Wh — matched to the original specification.
- Mova S10 Plus and RLS42SD compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. This pack carries the correct cell configuration — 4S2P — so the robot's charge management and motor controller see a valid battery on first boot.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge cycles and monitored BMS cutoff behaviour under simulated motor-load spikes. The protection circuit held voltage within spec and did not trip prematurely during the sustained draw phase.
- Dock charging practice for the Mova S10 Plus: This robot returns to its dock automatically after every clean. Do not leave it docked indefinitely between uses — continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade on Li-ion cells. If the robot sits unused for more than a few days, remove it from the dock once fully charged.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The Mova S10 Plus regulates suction power based on voltage reported by the BMS. When the battery cell capacity has degraded, internal resistance rises and voltage sags under motor load — even if the indicator still shows a mid-charge state. The robot interprets this voltage sag as a load fault rather than a low battery, so it throttles suction before the indicator reflects the real state. Replacing a degraded pack restores the full voltage curve the motor controller expects.
Motor cuts out and recovers mid-clean
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a power switch fault. When the suction path is partially blocked — by a full dustbin, a clogged filter, or tangled debris at the brush roll — the motor draws sustained current above the BMS threshold. The protection circuit cuts the output, the robot pauses, then resets once current drops. Clean the filter and empty the bin first. If the cutout continues on an unobstructed floor with a new battery, check that the brush roll spins freely without resistance.
