Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
On the Z10, suction loss often happens well before the battery LED shows a low charge. The motor draws higher current when airflow is restricted by a clogged filter or blocked brush roll. That elevated draw causes voltage to sag under load, and the BMS reduces output to protect the cells — even though charge level is adequate. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest suction across all power modes.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained airflow restriction pushes motor draw past the pack's rated discharge current, the BMS cuts power momentarily and resets. The vacuum comes back because the BMS self-recovers once current drops. Check the filter and ensure the brush roll is clear of hair wrap. If the cutout stops after clearing the blockage, the pack is functioning correctly — the trip was protective, not a fault.
