It fits the full V8 range and matches the original voltage and BMS communication required for normal operation. Use it when the original cell no longer holds charge or cuts out during a cleaning cycle.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
On the V8, the motor draws higher current when airflow is restricted — a dirty filter or partial blockage forces the motor to work harder, pulling more amps than the BMS expects under normal load. The BMS interprets this sustained overcurrent as a low-capacity condition and steps down power output before the LED indicator reflects an actual low charge. The vacuum feels like it's dying, but the battery still has usable capacity. Clean or replace the post-motor filter and check the bin inlet for blockages before concluding the battery is at fault.
Motor cutting out mid-use and recovering after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip — not a dead battery. When the V8 motor sustains high draw for too long, typically on thick carpet or when suction is restricted, the BMS cuts output to protect the cells and resets after a brief thermal or timing delay. The fix is almost always a blocked filter or bin, not a failed battery. Clear any restriction, then confirm cell voltage reads above 20V under load — below that threshold, the cells themselves may be the issue.
