Ecovacs Deebot 830 Replacement Battery - Replaces CEN82

Why this battery

  • Fits Ecovacs Deebot 830, 810, and 800 robotic vacuums — replaces OEM part CEN82.
  • 12V 3500mAh Ni-MH battery delivers the amp-hour capacity this vacuum platform requires for autonomous floor cleaning cycles.
  • Connector slides into the battery bay with a positive-negative orientation lock — verify tab alignment before seating fully.
  • We bench-tested this cell in a Deebot 830 chassis; the BMS accepts charge without fault codes and delivers stable 12V under motor load.
  • Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently — cordless vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than those charged only when depleted.

About this replacement

Ecovacs Deebot 830 Series — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (CEN82)

This is a 12V 3500mAh (42Wh) Ni-MH replacement battery for the Ecovacs Deebot 830 robotic vacuum cleaner. It also fits the Deebot 810 and Deebot 800. The original CEN82 battery degrades over charge cycles — this replacement restores the unit to full operating spec.

  • Deebot 800, 810, and 830 compatibility: All three models share the same 12V battery bay, connector orientation, and BMS handshake protocol. The CEN82 part number covers the full platform — one battery fits all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a Deebot 830 unit. The BMS accepted the handshake immediately, the charger moved through each charge stage correctly, and the motor draw stayed within spec across hard floor and carpet transitions.
  • Dock charging habit on Ni-MH cells: Ni-MH chemistry is more sensitive to continuous trickle charge than Li-ion. Do not leave the Deebot on the dock permanently between cleans. Charge to full, remove from the dock, and return it only when the battery is depleted.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The Deebot 830 motor draws harder when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work against increased back-pressure. This elevated draw pulls more current than the battery is rated to deliver steadily, which causes voltage to sag under load even when the cell still holds charge. The result is reduced suction well before the unit signals a low battery. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction restores, the battery was not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained restricted airflow pushes motor draw above the BMS threshold, the protection circuit interrupts output to prevent cell damage. The unit goes quiet, sits for a moment, then resumes — because the BMS resets once current drops. Check the filter and brush roll for blockages before replacing the battery. If the trip stops after clearing the restriction, the cell is fine. If it continues with a clean filter, the original battery may have degraded enough that even normal draw exceeds its output ceiling — replace it and retest.
