Ecovacs DK560 / DK566 Series — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (AA10S1P)
This is a 12V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Ecovacs DK560, DK561, DK566, and DS566 robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part numbers AA10S1P, 201-1451-0040, and S00-NM-120-1500. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds enough charge to complete a cleaning cycle.
- DK560 / DK566 platform fit: These models share the same 12V power rail, physical footprint, and connector orientation. The cell dimensions — 52.60 x 42.40 x 29.30mm across two packs — match the original battery bay exactly, so no modification is needed at installation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the DK566 platform. The BMS accepted the pack without error codes, charge termination triggered correctly at capacity, and the motor controller drew current within expected range across hard floor and carpet transitions.
- Dock charging practice for Ni-MH cells: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Ni-MH chemistry degrades faster under continuous trickle charge than it does from regular use cycles. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor is working harder than rated due to a partially blocked filter or brush roll. Increased motor draw causes voltage to sag under load, so the battery reads low on the controller before the actual cell capacity is depleted. The vacuum interprets the voltage dip as low battery and reduces motor power. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap before assuming the battery is at fault — motor current should stay within rated draw on a clear airpath.
Motor cuts out mid-cycle and then recovers after a pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, jammed brush, or sealed-off intake — the motor draws above the BMS current threshold and the pack shuts output to protect the cell. The vacuum goes quiet, sits for a few seconds, then restarts when the BMS resets. Clear the blockage first. If trips continue on a clean airpath with the new cell installed, check that the replacement pack terminals are fully seated and making clean contact at the connector.
