About this replacement
Ericsson DT590 / DTX-9013 / DT5900 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NTM/BKBNB10114/1)
This is a 3.7V, 850mAh lithium-ion battery for the Ericsson DT590, DTX-9013, and DT5900 cordless DECT handsets. It replaces OEM part NTM/BKBNB10114/1. Fits the battery bay directly, using the same connector and cell footprint as the original.
- DT590 / DTX-9013 / DT5900 platform fit: These three handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V supply rail. One cell SKU covers all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the DT590 platform. The protection circuit engaged correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and the base station accepted the charge handshake without error on first placement.
- First charge on the DT590 base: After installing this battery, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Li-ion cells shipped in storage state need a complete slow charge to reach rated capacity — pulling the handset off early will leave you with a partially conditioned cell.
Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement
A new Li-ion cell arrives partially discharged from storage — typically between 40–60% state of charge. If you start using the handset immediately, the battery has not reached its rated 850mAh capacity yet. Complete two or three full charge cycles in the base before drawing conclusions about talk time. After the third full cycle, capacity should stabilise at or near the rated figure.
DT590 handset loses DECT pairing after battery swap
Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset's volatile memory, which can erase the DECT registration stored in the handset. The base station will show the handset as unregistered or simply won't ring it. To fix this, re-register the handset through the base station's subscription mode — on most Ericsson DECT systems, hold the registration button on the base for three seconds, then follow the handset pairing prompt.
