This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery pack for the ETA 1424 Carsha cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. It replaces OEM part ETA1424 900000. Swap it in when the original pack no longer holds a charge or cuts out during cleaning.

- Dock charging behaviour on the 1424 Carsha: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock continuously. Ni-MH cells in cordless vacuums develop capacity fade significantly faster under constant trickle charge. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the 1424 Carsha
Ni-MH packs experience voltage sag under high motor draw before the cell is actually depleted. On the 1424 Carsha, a partially blocked filter forces the motor to pull harder than its rated current, accelerating that sag. The result is noticeably weaker airflow while the battery indicator still reads mid-level. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery was not the root cause.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, clogged filter, or hair wrapped around the brush — the motor draws a sustained spike above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts output to protect the cells. The BMS resets automatically once current drops. Clear the blockage, check the filter, and restart. If trips continue on a clean machine, measure pack voltage at rest — it should read at least 15.6V on a full Ni-MH 13-cell pack before suspecting a cell fault.
