ETA 1442 Verto — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (1442 00090)
This 7.4V, 2500mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the original power pack in the ETA 1442 Verto cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. It fits models using OEM part number 1442 00090. Voltage and cell count match the original so the BMS and charger behave as expected.
- ETA 1442 Verto compatibility: The 1442 Verto uses a 7.4V two-cell Li-ion configuration with a specific connector and BMS handshake. This battery matches that configuration — voltage rail, connector geometry, and communication protocol.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the 1442 Verto platform. The BMS responded correctly to the charger handshake, reached full charge without fault flags, and held voltage under simulated motor load without tripping overcurrent protection.
- Dock charging practice on the 1442 Verto: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock indefinitely after it reaches full charge. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade on Li-ion cells. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low
The 1442 Verto motor draws more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter or clogged nozzle forces the motor to work harder at the same voltage. As the battery ages, its internal resistance rises, and voltage sags further under that elevated load. The result is noticeably weaker suction even though the indicator still shows charge remaining. Clean or replace the filter first, then test suction — if suction recovers, the battery was compensating for a restriction, not failing on its own.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. When the vacuum encounters sustained suction restriction — a blocked filter, dense carpet fibres, or a partial nozzle blockage — current draw spikes past the BMS threshold and the battery shuts output to protect the cells. Removing the restriction and waiting 30–60 seconds allows the BMS to reset and restore output. If the cutout happens repeatedly on a clean filter with a new battery, check that the nozzle and hose path are fully clear before ruling out a wiring fault in the vacuum itself.
