This is a 14.4V, 6800mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Eufy SES, T29J6, X8, and X8 Hybrid cordless stick vacuums. It fits the OEM part number C0914D8 and restores full power to the motor and suction system when the original cell has degraded. Capacity is rated at 97.92Wh.
- SES, T29J6, X8, and X8 Hybrid compatibility: These models share the same 14.4V battery rail, physical connector, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why a single cell covers the range. Swapping across a voltage mismatch would trigger an immediate BMS lockout, so the shared spec here matters.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the X8 platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the vacuum's onboard controller, accepted a full charge without fault codes, and held voltage under sustained motor load without tripping overcurrent cutoff.
- Dock charging on the X8 series: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock charging feeds a slow trickle current that accelerates capacity fade on Li-ion cells faster than regular charge-and-remove cycles. Charge to full, then pull the vacuum off the dock.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low
On the X8 platform, suction can drop noticeably while the battery indicator still shows two or three bars. This happens because a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated — the BMS reads the elevated draw and pulls back power to protect the cell. The battery itself is not the root cause in that scenario; the filter restriction is. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest suction. If suction holds steady after filter service, the battery is functioning correctly and the voltage at idle should read 14.4V or above.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip — not a dead battery. When sustained suction restriction (blocked filter, blocked nozzle, or heavy carpet pile) forces the motor to spike current draw, the BMS cuts power momentarily and resets once current falls back within safe range. The few-second recovery pause is the BMS re-initialising. Clear the blockage and check the filter condition before concluding the battery is at fault. If the cut-outs stop after clearing the restriction, the cell is working as intended.
