This is a 7.2V 700mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Falard BP7.2 wireless crane remote transmitter. It fits overhead crane and industrial hoist remote control systems that use the OEM part number 6HR5/4AAA. Voltage and cell count match the original pack exactly.
- BP7.2 transmitter fit: The BP7.2 remote runs a 6-cell Ni-MH configuration to maintain stable output across the 7.2V rail. This pack replicates that cell count and connector orientation, so the transmitter's internal charging circuit and low-battery cutoff logic read the pack correctly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a BP7.2-class transmitter. The BMS responded to low-voltage thresholds as expected, and the solenoid activation pulse — which draws a sharp inrush current — did not trigger a premature cutoff at full charge state.

Solenoid activation causing power dropout on a new BP7.2 battery
When the crane remote triggers a solenoid or contactor, the coil draws a short inrush spike — often two to three times the steady-state current. If the pack is at partial charge, internal resistance rises enough that voltage sags below the transmitter's cutoff threshold during that spike. The remote drops out even though the battery shows charge remaining. A full charge before use keeps internal resistance low and prevents the sag from crossing the cutoff point.

New Ni-MH packs ship at storage voltage — typically 60–70% of rated capacity — not full charge. The BP7.2 transmitter reads terminal voltage to determine battery state, so a pack at storage voltage registers as low immediately on power-up. This is not a fault with the cell. Connect the remote to its charger for a full charge cycle before first use, and the low-battery indicator will clear once the pack reaches operating voltage.
