GPS accuracy reduced while navigating near the end of a charge
Several Falk N-series units reduce GPS receiver sensitivity at low battery voltage to extend available power. This shows up as position drift or slower route recalculation, not a software fault. The receiver is pulling back its sampling rate to stay within the power budget the BMS is allowing at low state-of-charge. Keeping the cell above 3.6V during active navigation keeps the receiver running at full sensitivity.
Falk N30 shuts off without warning instead of showing a low-battery indicator
This happens when the battery gauge in the unit is no longer calibrated to the actual cell's voltage curve. The on-screen indicator may still show one bar when the cell has already dropped below the BMS cutoff threshold, so the unit cuts power with no visual warning. The fix is a full calibration cycle — run the new cell down until the unit shuts itself off, then charge to 100% without interruption. After one full cycle the indicator aligns with the real voltage curve and early shutoff stops.
