Firefighter 1080P High Definition Waterproof Metal Camera Replacement Battery - Replaces SC-HD2

$24.41In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Firefighter 1080P High Definition Waterproof Metal Camera, replaces OEM part SC-HD2.
  • 3.7V, 900mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers stable voltage for full HD video and photo capture in field conditions.
  • Connector and slot match Firefighter camera housing; polarity marked on cell for correct orientation during install.
  • We bench-tested this cell in the camera body; BMS accepted charge cycle with no throttle signals on boot.
  • Before your first video session, charge fully — the video processor draws peak current during recording and a new cell at storage voltage may cause frame drops.

About this replacement

Firefighter 1080P High Definition Waterproof Metal Camera — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (SC-HD2)

This is a 3.7V, 900mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery with OEM part number SC-HD2. It fits the Firefighter 1080P High Definition Waterproof Metal Camera. Dimensions are 64.30 × 20.00 × 12.20mm — measure your original cell before ordering.

  • Firefighter 1080P camera platform: This camera runs a single-cell 3.7V Li-Polymer pack tied directly to the video processor and image sensor rail. Voltage tolerance is tight — a worn cell that sags below 3.2V under load will cause the processor to throttle or shut down mid-recording.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full HD video recording and verified BMS cutoff behaviour at both ends — low-voltage protection triggered cleanly at the floor threshold, and charge termination capped correctly at 4.2V without overrun.
  • First-session charge rule for video processors: New Li-Polymer cells ship at storage voltage, typically around 3.6–3.7V. Charge the battery fully to 4.2V before your first recording session. The video decode pipeline draws peak current at startup, and a cell at storage voltage may cause the processor to throttle on the very first clip.

Why the Firefighter 1080P cuts out mid-recording

The camera's processor draws the highest current during active 1080P encoding — significantly more than in standby or photo mode. If the battery cell has degraded internal resistance, voltage sags under that load and drops below the BMS cutoff threshold, killing the recording unexpectedly. A new cell with lower internal resistance holds voltage steady through the encode burst. If cutouts persist after a full charge cycle, check that the battery contacts inside the bay are clean and making firm contact.

Camera shows full charge but shuts off quickly after swap

This happens when the camera's charge indicator reads terminal voltage at rest rather than tracking true state of charge under load. A new cell at storage voltage reads close to full but delivers far less usable capacity until it is fully conditioned. Run two complete charge cycles — charge to 4.2V, discharge fully through normal recording use, then charge again. After two cycles the cell's capacity reading and actual performance will align.
