It replaces OEM parts BPAFRAGILIAS, MB3639, MB3639-O, and 99178130. The battery enables portable operation of the pump during patient transport and power interruptions in clinical settings.

Agilia alarming low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge
The Agilia's BMS uses charge threshold parameters calibrated to an OEM cell's internal resistance and charge curve. A fresh Ni-MH cell from a different production batch presents a slightly different impedance signature on first contact. The BMS flags this as a low-state cell rather than a new one. One complete charge-discharge cycle on the pump recalibrates the BMS acceptance window, and the alarm clears after that cycle completes.
Pump will not power on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Ni-MH cells self-discharge during storage — typically 1–3% per day at room temperature. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 5.4V (0.9V per cell across a 6V pack), the Agilia's BMS will refuse to boot rather than risk a brownout during an active infusion. Connect the pump to mains power first and allow a full supervised charge cycle before attempting to power on from battery. Once the pack returns above the BMS recovery threshold, normal startup resumes.
