Stylistic shutting down at 20–30% remaining after a battery swap
This is a voltage-cliff symptom — the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it reads 20–30% remaining at the point the new cell's voltage drops below what the CPU and display load can sustain. The system shuts down to protect itself, even though the gauge shows charge remaining. The fix is a full calibration cycle: discharge the device to automatic hibernate under normal use, then charge to 100% without interruption. After two full cycles the fuel gauge IC re-aligns to the new cell's curve and the false shutdowns stop.
