This 14.8V, 4400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM pack in the Fukuda Denshi DS7100 electrocardiograph and DS-7100 Dynascope Bedside Monitor. It fits the DS7001 and related variants in this ECG line. Use it to maintain portable operation during clinical rounds when AC power is not available.
- DS7100 series compatibility: These models share the same 14.8V four-cell Li-ion architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. The DS7100, DS-7100, and DS7001 all draw from the same voltage rail, so one pack covers the platform without modification.

Why the DS7100 flags a battery fault after a confirmed full charge
The DS7100's charge IC applies a conservative threshold when it first sees a new cell pack. If the cell voltage profile doesn't match the stored OEM curve exactly, the device may log a fault even when the battery is fully charged. This is a BMS learn-cycle issue, not a defective cell. Running one complete charge-discharge-recharge cycle allows the device to recalibrate its capacity estimate. After that cycle, the fault flag clears and charge reporting returns to normal.
DS7100 shuts off mid-recording with no low-battery warning
New Li-ion cells have slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in pack. During the first ten cycles, the DS7100's load profile — particularly during ECG signal acquisition — can cause a momentary voltage sag that crosses the BMS undervoltage cutoff threshold. The device cuts power before the low-battery indicator has time to trigger. This behaviour reduces significantly after the cells are cycled several times. Until then, keep the device on AC power during long recording sessions and use battery mode for shorter portable use only.
