Device not completing boot sequence on new battery
The FX-8322 runs a BMS verification handshake during boot that checks cell voltage against internal thresholds calibrated for the OEM chemistry. A new cell may sit slightly below those thresholds if it has discharged during transit or storage. The device reads this as a fault and halts the boot sequence before reaching the main ECG interface. Charge the battery fully using the device's own charging circuit, then power on again — a confirmed full charge resolves the handshake failure in most cases.
Charge indicator stalling below 100% on first charge
On the first charge cycle, the FX-8322 charge IC applies a conservative current limit to an unrecognised cell, which causes the charge indicator to stall between 85–95% and appear not to progress. This is the charge controller's normal response to a new cell — it is not a fault. Allow the charge cycle to complete fully without interrupting it. After one full charge-discharge cycle, the charge IC recalibrates and the indicator will reach 100% on subsequent charges.
