Fukuda FX-3010 / CardiMax FX-3010 — 9.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (HHR-19AL24G1FD)
This 9.6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the OEM pack in the Fukuda FX-3010 and CardiMax FX-3010 portable defibrillators. It matches the original voltage rail and connector configuration so the device BMS recognises it at startup. Capacity is 2000mAh (19.2Wh), identical to the factory specification.
- FX-3010 and CardiMax FX-3010 platform: Both models share the same 9.6V power architecture, BMS handshake protocol, and battery connector format. One replacement battery covers both device variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge-discharge cycles and confirmed the BMS completed its verification sequence without fault codes. Charge acceptance, voltage stability under load, and cutoff behaviour all matched OEM parameters.
- Post-installation self-test: After fitting this battery, allow the FX-3010 to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification routine at startup — interrupting it before it finishes can register a false battery fault that persists until the next complete reboot cycle.
Self-test failure on the FX-3010 after a battery swap
The FX-3010 runs a battery verification routine every time it powers on. On a freshly installed Ni-MH cell, the BMS may not yet have a complete charge history to validate against, which can trigger a self-test fault even when the battery is fully charged. This is a learn-cycle issue, not a defective cell. Run one full charge-discharge cycle through the device before clinical use — after that cycle, the BMS has enough data to pass verification consistently.
Low battery alarm triggers immediately after a confirmed full charge
The FX-3010's charge threshold logic is calibrated to OEM cell chemistry and expects a specific internal resistance profile at full charge. A new Ni-MH replacement cell has not yet gone through conditioning, so its internal resistance reads slightly higher than the OEM reference point — the BMS interprets this as insufficient charge and raises the alarm. This resolves after one or two full charge-discharge cycles as the cells condition. Charge the battery fully, allow the device to complete its self-test, then discharge it under normal operational load before returning it to standby — the alarm should clear after that first full cycle.
