Trimmer powers on but cuts weakly — what's happening
If the trimmer starts but the blade speed drops quickly, the original battery's cells have likely degraded below the voltage the motor needs to sustain full rpm. This is cell wear, not a trimmer fault. Swapping to a fresh cell restores the voltage headroom the motor needs. If the new battery shows the same symptom immediately, check the blade rotor for debris binding the mechanism before assuming a battery issue.
