This 3.7V, 2900mAh (10.73Wh) Li-ion cell replaces the internal battery in the Gardena AccuCut and ClassicCut Li cordless grass shears. These are handheld lawn-edging tools that cut along borders and shape grass edges — small, precise tools that run on a single lithium cell. Fits the AccuCut, ClassicCut Li, telescopic handle variants, and 9850-20 among others.

Why cell dimensions matter in a compact grass shear housing
The AccuCut housing leaves almost no tolerance around the cell. This replacement measures 66.65 x 19.50 x 18.50mm — matched to the OEM footprint so the cell seats without forcing. A cell even slightly oversized can stress the housing tabs and crack the casing on reassembly.
Shears power up but cut weakly — here's what's happening
Weak cutting force in these shears usually means the cell is sagging under load rather than holding the voltage rail steady. An aged lithium cell loses internal structure and voltage drops sharply the moment the blade motor draws current. The blades move but lack the torque to shear through thick grass stems cleanly. Replacing the cell restores the flat discharge curve the motor needs to run at full speed.
