Battery drain spike when tracking in remote or rural terrain

Collar drops off the Astro map and won't re-register after a power cycle
After a full power interruption — such as a battery swap — the DC20 and DC30 collars sometimes lose their active pairing with the Astro handset and stop reporting position. This is not a battery fault; it is a re-registration handshake the collar must complete after cold boot. Power the collar on fully, then navigate to the Astro handheld's dog list and select "Update Dog Info" to force the collar to re-broadcast its ID. The collar's status LED should change from a slow blink to a steady pulse once the handset confirms the link.
